Saklıkent Gorge

We had our first ever vist to Saklıkent in October 2011 and were pleased to find that it didn't take us long to get there by car from the apartment (probably just over 30 mins).

You need to come prepared to get wet if you plan to enter and walk up the gorge as it involves wading through fast moving waist deep water. A change of clothes and a pair of waterproof shoes is recommended! (Rubber shoes can be hired at the entrance where you have to pay a small fee to enter the gorge).
We definately plan to return to the gorge on our future visits and will also see if there are things to do in the surrounding area. The information contained in this blogpost will help us: Around Saklıkent Gorge - What to do once you've hiked the Gorge. As a budget-conscious family we may also track down the eaterie mentioned in the following post: Lunch at Saklıkent Gorge.
