No1 Komurluk Apartments is one of only two duplex penthouses occupying the topmost floors of the small development.Our two large terraces and additional top floor balcony provide stunning panoramic views of the surrounding scenery: the sea and mountains, views of Kalkan Bay, the distinctive 'Mouse' and 'Snake' islands and Kalkan's delightful town and harbour. And being situated on the top levels our apartment's outdoor spaces are not overlooked and enjoy a high degree of privacy. The good sized terrace-balcony from the living room/kitchen area (pictured below) is a great place to start the day with breakfast or relax later in the day on the sun-beds.
The Komurluk Apartments' shared pool and large sun bathing terrace have great views of Kalkan Bay and are surrounded by raised planted beds. There are plenty of wooden sun loungers and parasols, also a couple of showers and w.c.s.
Having a south west facing aspect, the apartments enjoy the benefit of the afternoon and evening sun. Looking out from the apartment's terraces and upstairs master bedroom balcony you can watch the sunset, see Kalkan's lights come on in the evening and perhaps contemplate a visit to town, which is only a short ten to fifteen minute stroll away.
To get to Kalkan's Old Quarter, harbour and beach from Komurluk it is a short 10-15 minute walk. During the day, if you have paid to enter the Palm Beach club, take the complimentary water taxi to town.
The apartment's living room has ample seating and benefits from a well equipped kitchen area: - cooker and hob, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher etc. From the living room there are stairs to the master bedroom on the top floor, a door through to the courtyard terrace from where you gain access to the second bedroom and patio doors leading to the sea-facing terrace. A small utility/w.c. room is also accessed from the living room where there is a washing machine for doing your laundry. The lounge also has a TV with a DVD and Wii (please bring your own games for the Wii).
The lounge/kitchen area has a door to a private outdoor courtyard terrace 'room', pictured below, which is partially roofed with the open part covered with a pergola. From here you gain access to the lower floor second bedroom. The courtyard terrace can be used as the venue to enjoy a wonderful evening meal at the large dining table. There is also additional space for a couple of sun-loungers.
The second bedroom, reached via the courtyard terrace above is a spacious room benefiting from an en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobes and views of the blue Mediterranean. This room has a double bed, single bed and a dressing-table chest of drawers.
In addition to the entrance door to the room, the second bedroom benefits from patio doors leading out to the courtyard terrace where you again have the most fabulous views of the sea. Here there are a some potted plants, including bougainvillea and space to sunbathe in complete privacy.
The master bedroom is on the top floor of the apartment and reached via stairs from the living room/kitchen area. It is a bright, airy and spacious room with an en-suite shower room, a sea facing balcony and the same sense of the closeness to the sea as benefits the whole apartment. Furnished with a king-sized bed, fitted wardrobes and dressing table/table chest of drawers there is also a three seater sofa.
You enter the apartment at the lower level, having come down a short series of steps from the area where you can park. There are two entrance doors: the main entrance door takes you directly into the living room, whilst the other provides an entrance to the courtyard terrace.
